Each quarter, VMware recognizes top instructors with an achievement award for educating the technical community. When choosing whom should be awarded, we consider:
- The number and range of courses delivered
- If they are early adopters of new courses
- Evaluation scores for subject knowledge, professionalism, presentation skills, ability to encourage participation, and responses to questions
- Support within the VMware training community
Like most quarters, it was difficult to choose only two candidates among so many strong instructors. However, there were two standouts in Q2 (April through June) and we’re delighted to announce them today.
EMEA VATC VCI Winner: David Sjöstrand
David Sjöstrand is a senior VCI employed at Cornerstone and is our first winner from Sweden. David was amongst the first in the world to deliver the brand new vSphere Troubleshooting course undertaking two early access deliveries of the course prior to its general release. He also provided significant feedback to the review of the course which resulted in many improvements for the developers. David is also a leading expert in Powershell scripting technologies.
EMEA Freelance VCI Winner: Eric Bourgeois
Eric Bourgeois is a freelance VCI in France. During this quarter he led the way delivering the vSphere Troubleshooting course before many of his peers and also advanced courses including vCloud Director Install Configure Manage. Eric brings his experience of implementing disaster recovery plans for large international financial groups to his students. He has also jointly published a book about cloud computing with ITIL integration: “Cloud computing : Décider, concevoir, piloter, améliorer”. Eric, one of our many remarkable VCI’s, is pictured here sailing a small boat across the Atlantic Ocean earlier this year.
Congratulations to both David and Eric for making tremendous advancements in our technical community.
