Zori Nikolova is a Senior Solutions Architect for VMware’s Worldwide Consulting Center of Engineering (WWCC CoE) and has fifteen years of experience in technology. Her engineering expertise and her customer-focused consulting skills are key factors to Zori’s success.
Working with hundreds of clients worldwide provides Zori with valuable insight into the best practices for automating and integrating VMware products into customer ecosystems. You can catch Zori’s VMware Explore Barcelona session in November 2023, where she’ll discuss how to streamline processes and enhance product efficiency when integrating them into enterprise service management (ESM).
Helping customers integrate VMware products into existing ecosystems
Zori is part of the WWCC CoE team that delivers expert services for integration and automation projects of VMware products and cloud platforms. The WWCC CoE gets involved when implementing a VMware product where the customer requires new functionality.
“Requests for new features or third-party product integration come to the WWCC CoE for us to determine the feasibility, shape, cost, and delivery time of the solution,” said Zori. “Every engagement we have is unique and focused on serving the customer with a solution to simplify processes, time, and resources.”
One of the best parts of working at VMware is the ability to work with customers across the globe facing unique challenges. Zori collaborates with her global VMware Professional Services colleagues to understand a customer’s specific development and coding requirements when implementing VMware products.
“I love the variety in my job. It doesn’t get boring because we have something different or new every day,” said Zori. “Sometimes we get standard requests, but other times we are contacted about the integration with tools we’ve never heard of before, which must be researched and vetted. The work is diverse and interesting giving me insight into new technologies and emerging trends.”
Zori at VMware Explore Barcelona
Zori’s philosophy is that cutting-edge products deliver real value when deployed and used optimally. During Zori’s VMware Explore Barcelona session, she will discuss why it matters how products are incorporated into ESM. She’ll also present use cases and lessons learned from other customers.
“Our products are the core and heart of the VMware business, but they don’t run in isolation with the customers who are buying and using them,” said Zori. “Customers plug our products into their existing ecosystem of existing tools and processes. If they work with us in the Center of Engineering, we can help them integrate our products into their existing enterprise service management. Thus, increase the efficiency of the processes efficiency of the products.”
Life outside of the office
When Zori is not consulting and supporting VMware customers, she’s traveling the world. Zori is an advanced diver certified to dive 30 meters underwater. She recently returned from a two-week trip to Indonesia, where she dived daily. She’s also participated in a team-oriented 5k run with mud, fire, ice, and barbed wire obstacles – oh my! And she even helped a friend studying to become a pilot as a passenger on a Cessna plane.
