This month, we’re speaking with James Walker.
How long have you worked in IT?
18 years. I got my first full time IT position at my University to help pay for college. I got my A+, Network+, and CNA certifications to help get the position.
What do you think makes for a great testing experience?
I enjoy the implementation exams. I feel they are the best exams to take and really prove your knowledge.
Why did you get involved in the VMware Certification Contributor program?
After, I got my VCAP (VMware Certified Advanced Professional) Design and VCAP Deploy in Data Center Virtualization, Cloud Management Automation, and Network Virtualization I felt it would be helpful for test takers if I took my experiences into writing exams.
What is the most desirable facet of the program?
To meet with the other SMEs and work on composing the questions.
What have you gained from the program?
A perspective on writing questions for global test takers.
