EMEA VMware Certified Instructor (VCI) of the Quarter award is given to VCIs that aspire to be the best of the best. The awards are our version of the “Oscars” identifying and rewarding excellence. The award recognizes outstanding VMware Certified Instructors from the EMEA region who share their expertise about VMware technologies with others. The award is designed to support, promote, and develop VCIs by inspiring them to continually raise the standards of training.
The EMEA VCI of the Quarter award for the period of January to March 2015 goes to Gary Mobey from United Kingdom. During the quarter he delivered several classes including vSphere, Virtual SAN, Site Recovery Manager, and Horizon. On several of these courses all the students gave him perfect scores along with outstanding feedback such as:
“Top guy with an answer to everything.”
”Brilliant instruction from Gary!”
“Excellent Instructor. Best I’ve had.”
“I have attended a lot of courses over the years and Gary is one of the only instructors that has managed to keep me engaged and interested throughout the length of the course. His knowledge is impressive and his ability to relate the theory to real life is extremely useful.”
Gary was among the top VCIs in the region in terms of number of days teaching, and he was also top in evaluation scores. Despite being on platform every week he managed to deliver an impressively wide range of courses to a very high standard. He was also among the first to deliver the new vSphere 6 and vRealize Operations: Install, Configure, and Manage courses. Gary works for one of the larger VATCs and is one of their most experienced instructors and supports his colleagues. In addition, he works with to support the companies classroom lab environment. Gary also leads his students by example holding VMware certifications from multiple solution tracks.
Congratulations Gary!
