First VMmark 4 benchmark result published

The VMmark team is excited to announce that the first VMmark 4 benchmark result has just been published on the VMmark 4 Results page. If you’d like to learn more about VMmark 4 and what’s new in this version, check out Joshua’s great blog post: Introducing VMmark 4: A modernized private cloud server consolidation benchmark.

Congratulations to Hewlett Packard Enterprise, who obtained a score of 6.66 @ 8 tiles. This result was achieved using VMware vSphere and the VMware vSAN Express Storage Architecture™ (ESA), key technologies of our VMware Cloud Foundation and VMware vSphere Foundation cloud infrastructure solutions. The cluster consisted of four HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen11 hosts running VMware ESXi 8.0 Update 2 (vSAN 8.0 Update 2). Each host had two AMD EPYC 9654 processors, 1.5 TB memory, and 100 GbE networking. For more information, please see the full disclosure report.

Given that there have been more than 400 VMmark results published since its initial release, I know this will be just the first of many results to come!
