This month, VMware Education Services released 8 courses and 1 exam to help you develop your skills and increase your knowledge. Don’t let the restriction of working from home stop you from learning how to take full advantage of the innovative VMware technologies that will help your organization work remotely and quickly impact business needs. The Education Services team has transitioned all scheduled in-person trainings to a virtual (live online) format, including our Workspace ONE, vSphere, and VMware Cloud offerings. Summaries are provided below.
New Exam
VMware Professional Workspace ONE (2V0-61.20) (VCP-DW 2020) – This exam, which leads to the VMware Certified Professional – Digital Workspace 2020 certification, is a 70-item exam, with a passing score of 300 using a scaled method. Candidates are given an appointment time of 105 minutes, which includes five-minute seating time and adequate time to complete the exam for non-native English speakers. Actual exam time is 100 minutes. The VCP-DW 2020 certification validates that a badge earner can install, configure, manage, maintain, and and perform basic troubleshooting of VMware Workspace ONE and related solutions, as well as properly identify and differentiate any needed supporting products and components.

VMware Workspace ONE
VMware Workspace ONE: Advanced Integration [V20.x] – In this five-day course, you will learn about the advanced VMware Workspace ONE® use cases and integrations. The course also addresses the industry standard authentication protocol and technologies that can be integrated with Workspace ONE. Through a combination of hands-on labs, simulations, and interactive lectures, you will identify and configure various authentication methods and scenarios, integrations with third-party solutions and identity providers, advanced Workspace ONE component configurations, and both VMware Carbon Black and VMware Horizon ® configurations. Also, the principles of advanced identity, endpoint security, and access management are addressed throughout the course.
VMware Workspace ONE: Design [V20.x] – In this one-day course, you will learn the fundamentals of VMware Workspace ONE® solution design, which addresses both the general solution design logics, the solution design process flow, and the areas of VMware Workspace ONE® UEM use cases. Through a combination of interactive lectures, you will identify the phases of a Workspace ONE solution design and delivery, review areas of Workspace ONE use cases, and learn how to create solution designs. The principles of Workspace ONE solution design are addressed throughout the course.
VMware vSphere
VMware vSphere: Fast Track [V7] – This five-day, intensive course takes you from introductory to advanced VMware vSphere® 7 management skills. Building on the installation and configuration content from our best-selling course, you will also develop advanced skills needed to manage and maintain a highly available and scalable virtual infrastructure. Through a mix of lecture and hands-on labs, you will install, configure and manage vSphere 7. You will explore the features that build a foundation for a truly scalable infrastructure and discuss when and where these features have the greatest effect. This course prepares you to administer a vSphere infrastructure for an organization of any size using vSphere 7, which includes VMware ESXi™ 7 and VMware vCenter Server® 7.
VMware vSphere: Design [V7] – This three-day training course equips you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to design a VMware vSphere® 7 virtual infrastructure. You will follow a proven approach to design a virtualization solution that ensures availability, manageability, performance, recoverability, and security. The approach presented follows VMware best practices. This course discusses the benefits and risks of available design alternatives and provides information to support making sound design decisions.
VMware vSphere: Troubleshooting [V7] – This five-day, hands-on training course provides you with the advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities to achieve competence in troubleshooting the VMware vSphere® 7.x environment. This workshop increases your skill and competence in using the command-line interface, VMware vSphere® Client™, log files, and other tools to analyze and solve problems.
VMware vSphere with Kubernetes: Deploy & Manage [V7] – During this 3-day course, you will focus on deploying and managing VMware vSphere® with Kubernetes. You will learn about how vSphere with Kubernetes can be used to orchestrate the delivery of Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications in a vSphere environment.
VMware Cloud
VMware Cloud on AWS: Deploy and Manage 2020 – This three-day course teaches you skills for deploying and managing a VMware Cloud™ on AWS infrastructure. Through a mix of lecture and labs, you will deploy and manage the VMware Cloud on AWS and VMware vSphere® features that build a foundation for a hybrid infrastructure. You will also discuss when and where these features have the greatest effect.
VMware vCloud
VMware vCloud Director: Tenant Operations [V10.x] – In this five-day course, you will focus on configuring and managing VMware vCloud Director® for Service Providers 10.x Tenant Operations. You will learn about self-service provisioning, the creation of certain organization virtual data center networks, vApp and its networks, catalog services that include predefined virtual machines, and on-demand VMware NSX® networks. This course covers integrating vCloud Director with VMware vRealize® Orchestrator™ and the use of VMware vCloud® Availability for vCloud Director®. You will understand how to manage multisite, cross-VDC networking for vCloud Director. You will also understand how to use Central Point of Management (CPOM) to define a software-defined datacenter (SDDC) for tenant users of vCloud Director. This course also discusses how to monitor various vCloud Director objects using VMware vRealize® Operations Manager™.

VMware vSphere: Optimize and Scale plus Troubleshooting Fast Track [V7] – This five-day, accelerated, hands-on training course is a blend of the VMware vSphere: Optimize and Scale and VMware vSphere: Troubleshooting courses. This Fast Track course includes topics from each of these advanced courses to equip experienced VMware administrators with the knowledge and skills to effectively optimize and troubleshoot vSphere at an expert level.
VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager: Install, Configure, Manage [V8.0] – This two-day course features hands-on training that focuses on installing, configuring, and managing VMware vRealize® Suite Lifecycle Manager™, which includes products such as VMware vRealize® Operations™, VMware vRealize® Log Insight™, and VMware vRealize® Automation™. This course prepares you to administer a vRealize infrastructure for an organization.
VMware Tanzu Mission Control: Management and Operations 2020 – During this one-day course, you will focus on using VMware Tanzu™ Mission Control™ to provision and manage Kubernetes clusters. The course covers how to manage on-premise and cloud-based Kubernetes clusters and how to apply access, image registry, and network policies to clusters.
