November Course Announcements: 7 NEW Ways for You to Upgrade Your Skills

This month, VMware Education Services released 7 NEW courses covering VMware Workspace ONE, PKS, NSX-T, vSAN, and Horizon to help develop your skills and increase your knowledge. In addition, there is one new course coming soon. Summaries are provided below.

 

VMware Workspace ONE

VMware Workspace ONE: Advanced Integration and Design [V19.x] – In this five-day, extended hour course, you will learn how to navigate and manage the VMware Identity Manager console. Through a combination of hands-on labs, simulations, and interactive lectures, you will configure enterprise and productivity integration, Digital Workspace integration, authentication methods, access policies, web and virtual resource integrations, and Single Sign-On for a web resource. The principles of identity and access management are addressed throughout the course. You will leave the training empowered with the foundational skills and knowledge needed to effectively implement the Workspace ONE solution to deliver the Digital Workspace experience.

 

VMware Workspace ONE: Design [V19.x] – On Demand – In this course, equivalent to 1 day of training, you learn the fundamentals of VMware Workspace ONE® solution design, which addresses both the general solution design logics, solution design process flow, and the areas of VMware Workspace ONE® UEM use cases.

 

VMware Workspace ONE: Advanced Integration [V19.x] – On Demand – In this course, equivalent to four days of training, you learn about the advanced VMware Workspace ONE ® use cases and integrations. The course also addresses the industry standard authentication protocol and technologies that can be integrated with Workspace ONE. Through a combination of hands-on labs, simulations, and interactive lectures, you identify and configure various authentication methods and scenarios, integrations with third-party solutions and identity providers, advanced Workspace ONE component configurations, and VMware Horizon ® configurations. The principles of advanced identity and access management are addressed throughout the course.

 

VMware Enterprise PKS

VMware Enterprise PKS: Install, Configure, Manage [V1.5] – This five-day course features intensive hands-on training that focuses on installing, configuring, and managing VMware® Enterprise PKS 1.5 (a purpose-built container solution to operationalize Kubernetes for multicloud enterprises and service providers). VMware Enterprise PKS significantly simplifies the deployment and management of Kubernetes clusters with Day 1 and Day 2 operations support. This course prepares you to install and administer a VMware Enterprise PKS environment for an organization of any size.

 

VMware NSX-T Data Center

VMware NSX-T Data Center: Troubleshooting and Operations [V2.4] – On Demand – This hands-on course, equivalent to five days of training, provides you with the advanced knowledge, skills, and tools to achieve competency in operating and troubleshooting the VMware NSX-T™ Data Center environment. In this course, you are introduced to workflows of various networking and security constructs along with several operational and troubleshooting tools that help managing and troubleshooting your NSX-T Data Center. In addition, you are presented with various types of technical problems, which you will identify, analyze, and solve through a systematic process.

 

VMware vSAN

VMware vSAN: Deploy and Manage [V6.7] plus VMware vSAN: Troubleshooting [V6.6] Workshop – In this five-day course, you will focus on deploying and managing a software-defined storage solution with VMware vSAN™ 6.7. You will learn how vSAN functions as an important component in the VMware software-defined data center. You will gain practical experience with vSAN concepts and troubleshooting methodology and diagnostic tools through the completion of hands-on lab exercises.

 

VMware Horizon

VMware Horizon 7: Install, Configure, Manage [V7.10] – This five-day, hands-on course gives you the skills to deliver virtual desktops and applications through a single virtual desktop infrastructure platform. This course builds your skills in installing, configuring, and managing VMware Horizon® 7 through a combination of lecture and hands-on labs. You learn how to configure and deploy pools of virtual machines, how to manage the access and security of the machines, and how to provide a customized desktop environment to end users.

 

Coming Soon:

VMware vCloud Director: Install, Configure, Manage [V9.7] – In this five-day course, you focus on installing, configuring, and managing VMware vCloud Director® for Service Providers 9.x. You learn about self-service provisioning, the creation of organizations, virtual data centers (VDCs), catalog services that include predefined virtual machines, and on-demand VMware NSX® networks.
