October Course Announcements: 6 NEW Ways for You to Upgrade Your Skills

This month, VMware Education Services released 6 NEW courses covering VMware vCloud, Workspace ONE, vRealize, as well as a Japanese version of a VMware Horizon 7 course and NSX-T Data Center course. There are also 2 refreshed courses on VMware Cloud on AWS to help develop your skills and increase your knowledge. In addition, there is one new course coming soon. Summaries are provided below.

 

VMware vCloud Director

VMware vCloud Director: Install, Configure, Manage [V9.7] – In this five-day course, you focus on installing, configuring, and managing VMware vCloud Director® for Service Providers 9.x. You learn about self-service provisioning, the creation of organizations, virtual data centers (VDCs), catalog services that include predefined virtual machines, and on-demand VMware NSX® networks.

 

VMware Cloud NFV with vCloud Director [V9.7] – This five-day, hands-on training course discusses Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), a network architecture concept that specifies how virtualization technologies can be used to virtualize network service functions.

 

Workspace ONE

Workspace ONE: Unified Endpoint Mgmt Troubleshooting, Adv Integration, and Design Fast Track [V19.x] – In this five-day, extended hour course, you will learn how to navigate and manage the VMware Identity Manager console. Through a combination of hands-on labs, simulations, and interactive lectures, learn to investigate, analyze, and determine issues that might occur with all the different components of the VMware Workspace ONE® UEM (Unified Endpoint Management) platform. Troubleshooting is the backbone of service maintenance and management. Understanding how to effectively troubleshoot product issues enables administrators to understand how product services communicate and function—in turn optimizing service and software health management

 

VMware vRealize

VMware vRealize Operations and vSAN Integration Workshop – On Demand – This course, equivalent to two days of training, explains how to use and configure VMware vRealize® Operations Manager™ 7.0 to integrate with VMware vSAN™ 6. This course explains concepts and practical applications of vRealize Operations Manager in reference to vSAN.

VMware Horizon 7: Install, Configure, Manage [V7.7] – This five-day, hands-on course gives you the skills to deliver virtual desktops and applications through a single virtual desktop infrastructure platform. This course builds your skills in installing, configuring, and managing VMware Horizon® 7 through a combination of lecture and hands-on labs. You learn how to configure and deploy pools of virtual machines, how to manage the access and security of the machines, and how to provide a customized desktop environment to end users.

 

VMware NSX-T Data Center: Install, Configure, Manage [V2.4] – This five-day, fast-paced course provides comprehensive training on how to install, configure, and manage a VMware NSX-T™ Data Center environment. This course covers key NSX-T Data Center features and functionality offered in the NSX-T Data Center 2.4 release, including the overall infrastructure, logical switching, logical routing, networking and security services, micro-segmentation and firewalls, and so on.

VMware Cloud on AWS: Deploy and Manage 2019 – This three-day course teaches you skills for deploying and managing a VMware Cloud™ on AWS infrastructure. Through a mix of lecture and interactive, simulated labs, you deploy and manage the VMware Cloud on AWS and VMware vSphere® features that build a foundation for a hybrid infrastructure. You also discuss when and where these features have the greatest effect.

 

VMware Cloud on AWS: Deploy and Manage 2019 – On Demand – This course, equivalent to three days of training, teaches you skills for deploying and managing a VMware Cloud™ on AWS infrastructure. Through a mix of lecture and interactive, simulated labs, you deploy and manage the VMware Cloud on AWS and VMware vSphere® features that build a foundation for a hybrid infrastructure. VMware Workspace ONE: Advanced Integration and Design [V19.x] – In this five-day, extended hour course, you will learn how to navigate and manage the VMware Identity Manager console. Through a combination of hands-on labs, simulations, and interactive lectures, you will configure enterprise and productivity integration, Digital Workspace integration, authentication methods, access policies, web and virtual resource integrations, and Single Sign-On for a web resource. The principles of identity and access management are addressed throughout the course. You will leave the training empowered with the foundational skills and knowledge needed to effectively implement the Workspace ONE solution to deliver the Digital Workspace experience.
