August Course Announcements: 5 NEW Ways for You to Upgrade Your Skills

This month, VMware Education Services released 5 NEW courses. These include courses in VMware Site Recovery Manager, VMware Cloud on AWS, vRealize Automation, Horizon, and Workspace ONE to help develop your skills and increase your knowledge. In addition, there are 5 more courses coming soon. Summaries are provided below.

 

VMware Site Recovery Manager

VMware Site Recovery Manager: Install, Configure, Manage [V8.2] – On Demand – This hands-on training course, equivalent to two-day of training, gives experienced VMware vSphere® administrators the knowledge to install, configure, and manage VMware Site Recovery Manager™ 8.2. This course also shows you how to write and test disaster recovery plans that use Site Recovery Manager.

 

VMware Cloud on AWS

VMware Cloud on AWS: Deploy and Manage 2019 – This three-day course teaches you skills for deploying and managing a VMware Cloud™ on AWS infrastructure. Through a mix of lecture and labs, you deploy and manage the VMware Cloud on AWS and VMware vSphere® features that build a foundation for a hybrid infrastructure. You also discuss when and where these features have the greatest effect. Anyone planning to migrate, build, or hybridize with VMware Cloud on AWS can benefit from this course.

 

VMware vRealize Automation

VMware vRealize Automation: Install, Configure, Manage [V7.6] – On Demand – During this course, equivalent to five days of training, you focus on installing, configuring, and managing VMware vRealize® Automation™. You learn about the configuration and use of the vRealize Automation platform, including self-service provisioning and the creation of catalog services that include predefined virtual machines, software components, and on-demand VMware NSX® networks. This course also covers interfacing vRealize Automation with other systems using VMware vRealize® Orchestrator™ to leverage workflows, creating approval cycles, and managing machine lifecycles to conserve resources. In addition, you will better understand and know how to achieve the benefits of automation as a component of the software-defined data center.

 

VMware Horizon

VMware Horizon 7: Troubleshooting and Performance Optimization [V7.7] – During this five-day, hands-on training, you will gain the advanced knowledge, skills, methodology, and abilities to achieve competence in troubleshooting the View component of VMware Horizon® 7. You will increase your skills and competence in using VMware and third-party tools to analyze and solve problems associated with a View implementation. This lab-intensive course provides you with a comprehensive environment to test your skills at identifying and solving a broad range of issues.

 

VMware Workspace ONE

VMware Workspace ONE: Advanced Integration [V19.x] – In this four-day course, you learn about the advanced VMware Workspace ONE ® use cases and integrations. The course also addresses the industry standard authentication protocol and technologies that can be integrated with Workspace ONE. Through a combination of hands-on labs, simulations, and interactive lectures, you identify and configure various authentication methods and scenarios, integrations with third-party solutions and identity providers, advanced Workspace ONE component configurations, and VMware Horizon ® configurations. The principles of advanced identity and access management are addressed throughout the course.

VMware Workspace ONE: Design [V19.x] – In this one-day course, you learn the fundamentals of VMware Workspace ONE® solution design, which addresses both the general solution design logics, solution design process flow, and the areas of VMware Workspace ONE® UEM use cases.

 

VMware Workspace ONE: Design, Integration, and Troubleshooting Fast Track [V19.x] – In this five-day, extended hour course, you will learn how to navigate and manage the VMware Identity Manager console. Through a combination of hands-on labs, simulations, and interactive lectures, you will configure enterprise and productivity integration, Digital Workspace integration, authentication methods, access policies, web and virtual resource integrations, and Single Sign-On for a web resource. The principles of identity and access management are addressed throughout the course. You will leave the training empowered with the foundational skills and knowledge needed to effectively implement the Workspace ONE solution to deliver the Digital Workspace experience.

VMware NSX-T Data Center: Troubleshooting and Operations [V2.4] – This five-day, hands-on training course provides you with the advanced knowledge, skills, and tools to achieve competency in operating and troubleshooting the VMware NSX-T Data Center environment. In this course, you are introduced to workflows of various networking and security constructs along with several operational and troubleshooting tools that help managing and troubleshooting your NSX-T Data Center. In addition, you are presented with various types of technical problems, which you will identify, analyze, and solve through a systematic process.
