Why You Should Attend VMware Explore Barcelona 2024
VMware Explore Barcelona is just around the corner, happening from 4 – 7 November, and trust me—you don’t want to miss it. Here’s why...
Cutting-Edge Content
If you’re looking to dive into the latest innovations, Explore will deliver. With VMware Cloud Foundation™ 5.2 now GA, there’s a wealth of content covering everything from VMware Cloud Foundation Advanced Operations and Tools to Accelerating Success with vSAN ESA Innovations for VCF. Explore topics like Building Private Clouds with VMware Cloud Foundation Networking: Plan, Design, Deploy, and Operate, or get a glimpse into the future with sessions like AI Without GPUs: Using Your Existing CPU Resources to Run AI Workloads.
One session I’m particularly excited about is the general session keynote. While not as technical as the breakouts, it gives us a clear roadmap for VMware’s future under Broadcom. This is the software we’ve built our careers on, and it’s about to be kicked into high gear. I’m eager to hear what expansions are in store beyond what was shared in Las Vegas, especially more on VCF 9.0.
Unmatched Community
A conference is more than just sessions—it’s about the community. And no community is stronger than the VMware community. The vCommunity—from vExperts and Tanzu Vanguards to VMUG members and more—is the heartbeat of this event. We saw this in Las Vegas, where the energy was electric, with the core diehard enthusiasts back in full force. If you haven’t experienced the famous “hallway track” at a VMware event, you’re in for a treat—it’s where some of the most valuable networking happens.
And let’s not forget the partners. They play a crucial role in this ecosystem. The networking opportunities at partner-exclusive events are key to fostering relationships that help drive business and empower customers on their VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) journey. With Broadcom’s commitment to empowering partners, it’s a win-win for everyone.
Why Barcelona?
What’s not to love about Barcelona? The city is beautiful, the food is fantastic, and the transportation is top-notch. I’ve been fortunate enough to attend both the US and Barcelona conferences for over five years and let me tell you—Barcelona is something special.
For starters, by the time we get to Barcelona, the announcements from the Las Vegas event have had time to settle. This means you’ll get deeper insights into what’s been rolled out, like VCF 9.0. The speakers will be even more refined, having honed their sessions after Las Vegas, so you’re getting the best of the best.
Finally, there’s the undeniable charm of Barcelona itself. While Las Vegas has its own unique allure (and I’ll always enjoy my time there), Barcelona is one-of-a-kind. From its rich culture to its vibrant streets, it’s the perfect backdrop for an event like VMware Explore.
