Favoriting
How to Create a Favorite Sessions List
- You can “favorite” a session by clicking the heart icon ♡ to the right of the session title. You will need to be logged in with your VMware ID to utilize this feature. If you are not already logged in, you will be redirected to the login page when you click on the ♡ favorite icon. After you log in, you will be re-directed back to the catalog and then you can start marking favorites. To print or download your favorited sessions use your browser’s print-to-pdf functionality.
- NOTE: Use the “My favorites ♡” filter to view only the sessions you have marked as a favorite in the content catalog. You will only be able to see this filter when you are logged in.
Scheduling
- If you have completed your registration and payment for VMware Explore, you may start to build out your personal agenda and sign up for sessions in order to reserve yourself a seat, as of 26 September. Session room locations have been revealed as of 24 October, with the launch of the event mobile app.
- Meet the Expert Roundtable sessions have opened up for registration as of 24 October, and each attendee can register for up to three MTEs prior to the event.
- Each attendee can also register for up to three Expert-led Hands-on Lab sessions prior to the event.
Wait List
- Session Full? If you were waitlisted for a session and a spot opens up, you will be automatically enrolled in that session, and you should see it on your schedule. Please arrive 10 minutes before the session start time, to ensure you claim your seat before seats are released to those standing in the queue.
What to Do Onsite
- If you were waitlisted for a session with no availability, that session will be added to your favorites. If this is the case, you may still be able to attend the session by queuing up outside the door before the session starts. We recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to its start time. At 5 minutes prior to the session start time, attendees in the queue will be allowed in, based on available seats. Hint: You’re likely to get in!
More Pro-Tips
Session room assignments are now revealed in the content catalog.
- Only want to view sessions that are open? Use the filter: “Seats Available” from the content catalog.
- Hands-on Lab Session Full? Check out the self-paced labs area. There is no need to register for these labs, you can show up at any time and take as many as you like, every day of the show. The same VMware experts that write the labs (and deliver the workshop sessions) are in the self-paced labs area to answer questions, deep dive into solutions, and share their knowledge with all attendees.
