Day two of the event lived up to the hype, building upon the energy and enthusiasm of yesterday. The multi-cloud universe is being thoroughly explored from different perspectives, angles, and lenses. Here is a quick recap of day two in case you missed anything.
Day two of VMware Explore in Las Vegas was an action-packed day filled with exciting events, activities and learning opportunities. Attendees had the chance to test drive VMware products at the hands-on labs, explore different breakout sessions, expand their knowledge in The Hub, and connect with fellow members of the vibrant explorer community.
Of special interest was our highly-anticipated Modern-Day Explorers keynote session where Leland Melvin, Allie K. Miller, and Robert Ballard shared their personal stories of growth and success. Over the course of one hour, attendees were taken from the reaches of outer space, to the next frontier of AI, to the mysterious depths of the ocean floor. Moderated by our very own Director of Event Content, Allison Crooker, the Modern-Day Explorers Keynote was certainly a crowd favorite.
We hope you all got a chance to release your inner scavenger in the Explorer Expedition activation onsite. In this journey, attendees got to go beyond finding their quiz results by practicing their sleuthing skills onsite in order to earn all 4 of the explorer badges. The first 500 people who found and scanned all 12 of our hidden activations (3 per badge; located throughout the event) got a free VMware Explore tech bag to commemorate their success.
The Expo was as busy as ever today, especially following last night’s packed hall crawl. On Tuesday evening, attendees explored The Expo using the hall crawl map in our VMware Explore Mobile App, indulging in food and drink offerings from 10 sponsor booths. From make-you-own ice cream sundaes to drinks from the cocktail bike, there was a wide range of tasty treats to enjoy while engaging with VMware sponsors and exhibitors. Whether they were enjoying drinks from an LED cup or from the comfort of a cozy Airstream, explorers got to experience it all and have a blast while doing so.
Day 2 may be over, but there’s still plenty of souvenirs and swag to pick up during tomorrow’s final day before you head home. Visit hands-on labs to try out the products you didn’t get a chance to check out earlier this week. Our Certification Exam Center will be open for those of you who’d like to sneak in a last-minute exam. And, of course, all our replays are available in the VMware Explore video library.
