We’re off to an incredible start in San Francisco! Monday was a busy day, as attendees arrived onsite for the first time in three years to reunite with their peers and cohorts. Dazzling imagery from every direction surrounded the Moscone Center, signaling one’s arrival to the center of the multi-cloud universe. Thousands of people gazed at their surroundings in awe before getting processed through our front desks, and we were thrilled that well over half our 10,000+ registered attendees had already checked in by the end of the day.  

At 5:00 PM, we kicked off the welcome reception in The Expo, complete with plenty of drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Attendees wove in and out of hundreds of sponsors who came to the event with their best in show. Just outside of The Expo, and across the lower levels of Moscone South to Moscone North, explorers had a blast engaging with various activations in The Hub, spanning from our new pop-up Hub Theater, to our Mario Kart races, to our F1 McLaren Racing Simulators.  
 

Tuesday morning was our official event opening, with an exciting general session with senior executives and industry leaders who shined a spotlight on this unique ecosystem’s role running the globe’s critical infrastructure in a multi-cloud world.  Outside perspectives and customer success stories brought new focus to why multi-cloud matters more than ever for today’s digital businesses. Attendees both in-person and online learned how to build and operate a cloud native platform, accelerate cloud transformation, and empower the hybrid workforce. One of the key takeaways? Practitioners who master multi-cloud will own the next decade.

The fun and excitement weren’t only confined to the general session. Throughout the day, there were hundreds of breakout sessions, dozens of expert-led roundtables, and thousands of successfully completed hands-on labs. One lucky solution keynote audience even got a surprise visit from the VMware campus turtles. (Hi Rosie!). Be sure to keep your eyes peeled in the coming days, as more surprises will continue throughout the event.
