Amnon Sinai, VMware Sales Specialist, Malam-Team
This year marks my third attending EMPOWER, and I can safely say that each year I leave feeling better prepared to hit the market and make a difference for my customers. Quite simply, I’ve never come across another event where there’s such extensive knowledge-sharing and in-depth conversations about the direction of business IT, and our role as partners in driving it. The technical insights and deep dives, as well as sneak previews of VMware’s go-to-market sales plays, equip me with both the language that will land well with customers and the tools to address their needs. I’m sure this year’s EMPOWER Online 2022 will be no different!
I’m looking forward to attending various sessions across the sales, technical and marketing tracks. Luckily the event being virtual gives me the flexibility to cover every corner of the EMPOWER content catalogue, from hands-on labs sessions where I can get under the hood of products and connect with product specialists, through to the strategy sessions where I can see how the different technologies intersect and can be deployed together to drive greater impact from IT. The sessions on VMware Cloud Foundation will certainly be on my radar, especially Mark Lohmeyer and Paula Hodgins’ session on accelerating enterprise cloud transformation. It looks like a great opportunity to learn about the role of autonomy and self-service in new cloud operating models, and how I can tangibly support my customers in their next steps on their journey to the cloud.
With ‘work from anywhere’ becoming more relevant to my customers today, the Digital Workspace stream has certainly caught my eye too. Like many partners, hybrid working has emerged as a strong revenue stream for us, and Casey Powell’s session on ‘Going the Distance; Empower the Hybrid Workforce’ seems more relevant than ever before as our customers seek to tread that careful line between physical and virtual working environments.
At Malam-Team, our solutions cover VMware’s entire product portfolio, but our strategy is built on addressing customers’ unique needs rather than any particular technology. As a group of more than 20 individual companies – one of the largest IT groups in Israel – we are constantly engaging with different customer pain points, and working to develop bespoke solutions that address their challenges. Right now, we’re seeing significant interest from customers in how they can modernize their infrastructure to support their growing app portfolios. Modern Apps are proving to be a huge revenue driver for them, and as a result, we’re seeing a lot of demand for shorter-term consultation, integration and deployment services. That means there are more opportunities for our businesses to unlock new revenue streams, as well as new lines of business and buyers if we can consistently deliver better outcomes across entire customer lifecycles, as they continually bring new apps to market. It’s a big reason why I am looking forward to hearing more about how we, as partners, can help make VMware’s vision for a cloud-smart ecosystem a reality, in the general sessions.
As you can tell, at EMPOWER there really is something for everyone, whatever your role in VMware’s partner ecosystem. The chance to connect with people on the same journey as you and share in VMware’s vision as it constantly evolves to address the needs of partners like us and our customers makes it an event that is not to be missed. So make sure to sign up. I promise you’ll go away feeling empowered for the year ahead!
