Alanzo Blackstock, Director Partner Organisation UKI, VMware, congratulates this year’s Partner Recognition winners and recognizes the significant contribution the channel makes to our joint success.
Our partners are key to the success of our business – collaborating with VMware to drive innovation and digital transformation into their customers. 96% of VMware’s business in the UK&I is sold and transacted by our channel and the evening was great opportunity to celebrate their many achievements.
Without further ado, here are the winners!
VMware Transformational Partner of the Year – Asystec
Asystec’s focus on innovation and consultative, solution-led approach to customer challenges helped them to close the first VMware Cloud Foundation win in Northern EMEA and clinch the VMware Transformational Partner of the Year award.
VMware Public Sector Partner of the Year – SBL
SBL’s specialist knowledge and long-held relationships helped them to deliver another strong year. They continued to build out their practice with vSAN, NSX and Horizon Cloud to secure sizable wins – helping them to retain the VMware Public Sector Partner of the Year for the second year running!
Customer Story of the Year – Softcat
Softcat’s deep understanding of customer needs saw it receive VMware’s Customer Story of the Year award for the second time! By deploying a solution that embedded security, improved resilience and delivered an IaaS experience, their customer saw a significant reduction in time-to-market for new apps and improvements to internal SLA’s.
Systems Integrator of the Year – IBM
A strong partnership, strategic engagement and collaboration across sales and marketing led to IBM being awarded Systems Integrator of the Year for the second time. A stand out performance – closing 5 multi-million dollar deals and achieving a staggering 2000% revenue growth sealed the deal for IBM’s win.
Marketing Campaign of the Year – Insight Direct
VMware Marketing Campaign of the Year award was won by Insight, for its 12-month integrated marketing campaign. Using social and digital channels as well as CXO events, workshops and VMworld customer attendance, Insight generated outstanding 24:1 ROI and over $5m pipeline.
Distributor of the Year – Tech Data Ireland
Significant bookings growth from non-Premier partners saw Tech Data Ireland take the VMware Distributor of the Year award. A focus on education, enablement and activation of Enteprise and Professional partners saw Tech Data Ireland achieve triple digit growth in NSX and vSAN.
Cloud Provider Partner of the Year – UKCloud
UKCloud’s commitment to the VMware partnership resulted in a well-deserved VMware Cloud Provider Partner of the Year win. Continued development of their cloud offering and integration of NSX, vROPs and vSAN contributed to an astonishing threefold increase in monthly licensing.
Rising Star of the Year – Cetus Solutions
An ambitious plan to drive net-new growth and non-core technology resulted in a VMware Rising Star award for Cetus Solutions. With quarterly marketing campaigns and regional workshops supporting aligned sales and technical teams, Cetus saw triple digit growth in license revenue – with non-core bookings accounting for almost half of the total mix.
UKI Partner of the Year – Computacenter
The big award of the night, VMware UKI Partner of the Year, was awarded to Computacenter for its dedication to VMware’s product portfolio, marketing initiatives and proactive approach. Computacenter’s performance with VMware in FY18 was exceptional, achieving significant overall growth and delivering innovative solutions to customers across a number of markets in the UK and Ireland.
