More than three years after the last release, the new vCenter Converter 6.3 is now generally available. We are proud to announce the official return of one of the most popular products within the VMware customer community. After the success of the Beta version, which accumulated more than 1500 registrations in a week, we are now making available the official release of 6.3.
vCenter Converter 6.3 covers the traditional functional scope of the product, offering possibility for conversion from physical and virtual sources to VMware VMs, VM reconfiguration, conversion of powered-on and powered-off workloads.
The new release provides compatibility with vSphere 7.0 and extends the range of supported source OS versions. We have addresses security issues and modernised the underlying technical stack to ensure we offer to our customers a stable product, compliant with the stringent security standards of VMware.
vCenter Converter supports a multitude of hypervisors including VMware Workstation, VMware Fusion and MS Hyper-V – with expanded range of supported versions covering MS Hyper-V 2022, 2019 and 11. The product supports conversion of physical and virtual workloads running on MS Windows, Linux Ubuntu, RedHat Enterprise Linux and CentOS.
