This month’s MeetUp between VMware and GitLab  is sure to be an event you don’t want to miss!

Evening Agenda:

6:00 pm: Food, Drink and Networking
6:30 pm: Welcome Introductions
6:45 pm Talk : “Being Budget Conscious in a Continuously Automated World” ft. Tim Davis, Bill Shetti and Gitlab
7:45PM: Q&A

The Talk:

Do you have developers who are going over budget every month deploying resources out into the cloud? Or even worse, are you a developer who keeps getting hassled about the budget when you’re simply trying to complete a project? Nobody wants to be tied down by budgetary concerns, but they are real, and important. In this highly automated world we’re deploying and destroying workloads all day long, but do all of the unused workloads actually get removed? Do we actually stay within budget? In this session, we’re going to talk about how to bring the budget checking process directly into the CI/CD process. Using costing data from CloudHealth, we’re going to implement a budge check into a development pipeline using tools available from GitLab! Come and hang out with us at the VMware Campus in Palo Alto, and we’ll walk through the process live! Get your questions ready, because we’ll have experts from VMware, and GitLab on hand!

Speakers:

Tim Davis, VMware Cloud Advocate

Bill Shetti, Director, VMware Cloud Advocacy
