We’re delighted to announce two major updates concerning the VMware NSX Migration for VMware Cloud Director tool! To begin with, presenting the most recent release, version 1.4.2.1, which as of November 9th, 2023, addresses numerous bug fixes and introduces new feature support. Additionally, we’re thrilled to declare that the source code for the VMware NSX Migration for VMware Cloud Director tool is now open-source. This empowers you with the freedom to effortlessly access and utilize the tool based on your individual preferences and requirements.
What’s New in this release?
To keep it simple here, we strongly recommend you to read the release note for VMware NSX Migration for VMware Cloud Director to know all the new features (captured under bug fixes) and to also know what are some of its limitations.

Open Source?
As we had announced in the blog “End of NSX Migration for VMware Cloud Director…! What Should I Know?” the VMware NSX Migration for VMware Cloud Director tool will mark the end of all future development and initiate the process to transition the tool to its End of Life (EOL) phase. General Support, including bug fixes and patches, will continue until End of General Support (EOGS) in January 2024.
We are thrilled to share the news that the VMware NSX Migration for VMware Cloud Director tool’s source code has been made accessible as an open-source initiative. The source code and all the released builds are now available publicly on Calsoft GitHub repository: https://github.com/Calsoft-Pvt-Ltd/NSX_V2T_Migration_Tool.
Calsoft is the contributor and will be responsible for the upkeep of the tool.
