Want to run VMware Cloud Director on top of VMware Cloud Foundation? There’s a White Paper for that! As Daniel pointed out last year, VCD + VCF = Harmony. Now that VCF is generally available to all Cloud Provider partners, we’re releasing an update to the White Paper!
The guide provides a technical understanding on how to build a public cloud offering on top of VMware’s Software Defined Datacenter. This means building clouds on as little as 4 hosts, or to the maximum of VCF. The new version provides an update based on the recent release of VMware Cloud Director 10.1, and dives further into the architecture and benefits of VCF with version 3.9.1.
Last month, we announced the Integrated Stack Roadmap for Cloud Providers and new licensing models. With the updated white paper, partners have the licensing and technical guidance to successfully deploy and offer services for multi-tenant and dedicated private clouds.

This is just the beginning, stay tuned for updates coming to the VMware Validated Design for Cloud Providers, where we will provide guidance on the VCF 4 and Cloud Director 10.1.
