Establish a Cloud Operating Model with vRealize Automation Cloud; 10.20 Launch Update

With so many organizations on a march to cloud, the need for solid operational processes and management strategies grows. We’re delighted to announce some new features of vRealize Automation Cloud that enable this, delivering enhanced visibility and more management capabilities.

Is your organization striving towards a more seamless, straightforward way to manage complex multi-cloud environments? Good news. The latest updates to VMware vRealize Automation Cloud are all about simplicity, visibility and control.

Let’s take a look at the important new features added to our platform.

Integrated visibility with Cloud Zone Insights

With many of our users working towards a Cloud Operating Model, we are doubling down on integrated visibility and actions by bringing our flagship software-as-a-service (SaaS) products, vRealize Automation Cloud and vRealize Operations Cloud, even closer together.

As a first step, we are introducing Cloud Zone Insights this month. This new capability exposes critical metrics such as capacity, utilization and consumption for your defined Cloud Zones directly on vRealize Automation Cloud’s administration view, drawing upon our deep integration with vRealize Operations Cloud.

Stay tuned for more direct visibility and action options in a command center-like view – helping you simplify cloud operations even further.

More lifecycle management

In parallel, we continue to enhance vRealize Automation Cloud’s workload lifecycle management functionality. The biggest change this month is the ability to iterate on network security groups, change custom VM properties and change the ownership of a deployment.

Automating the lifecycle of workloads after provisioning is important in a comprehensive Cloud Operating Model. As such, we will keep enriching Day 2+ management capabilities in upcoming launches.
