Know Before You Go: VMware at re:Invent 2019

re:Invent 2019 will run from December 2-6 in Las Vegas, NV which means you only have a few short weeks to plan your week! Start scheduling your VMware-related activities now! There are many ways for customers and partners to learn and experience the latest and greatest from VMware at re:Invent.

This Know-Before-You-Go document offers you a view into all the activities at re:Invent 2019 related to VMware and serves as a guide so you don’t miss anything!

Below I’ve highlighted some of the key sessions and events. There will be 65,000+ attendees at re:Invent so secure your spots now!

 

VMware at re:Invent 2019

Visit the VMware booth (Booth #2108) at the Venetian Expo Hall to chat with experts and experience demos. This year, the booth is comprised of three sections: VMware, CloudHealth and Wavefront. The in-booth demo stations will feature products and solutions such as, but not limited to VMware Cloud on AWS, VMware Cloud on AWS Outposts, RDS on VMware, Bitnami, VeloCloud, Tanzu, NSX Cloud, vRA Cloud, CloudHealth, Wavefront and many more! We’ll answer any questions you may have.

In addition, there will be a theater with more than 30 presentations to give you a deeper look at some of our products. You can also try your hand at our giant slot machine where you can win a variety of different prizes!

Our booth presence doesn’t end in the Venentian Expo Hall. VMware {code} will be in the Quad at the Builder’s Fair in the ARIA hotel where you can attend technical sessions on sensor programming and Kubernetes on Rasberry Pi.

Keynote Viewing Breakfast

On Tuesday, December 3rd, Andy Jassy will take the stage to share the latest about AWS customers, products and services. Both VMware Cloud on AWS and CloudHealth will be hosting a keynote viewing breakfast for both customers and partners. Registration is required!

Modern Apps Workshop

The VMware Tanzu team is hosting two free activities helping builders, developers, architects and engineers accelerate their ability to build, run and manage modern apps.

The first activity is a workshop that will advance your understanding of the fundamentals of containers and Kubernetes. The second activity is a livestream of Werner Vogels’ keynote presentation.

Both events will be held at the Palazzo Grand Lux Café.

re:Play

In addition to kick off events such as Midnight Madness and the Welcome Reception there are many restaurant receptions and parties planned throughout the week. The conference ends with re:Play, an interactive extravaganza and EDM concert, and Intersect, a festival the weekend right after the conference.
