In my previous blog post, I wrote about how we launched VMC Ideas as a new way of putting our customers and users, at the center of the innovation behind VMware Cloud on AWS – the jointly engineered service that brings the best of VMware and AWS to address their hybrid cloud needs.
With VMware Cloud on AWS, we have several ways of listening to our customers in addition to VMC Ideas – in-product chat, support, Net Promoter Scores (NPS), VMC Ideas and community engagement to name a few – this has helped us iterate our service at a fast cadence.
In addition to all these avenues of gathering customer inputs, between the AWS and VMware product teams, we regularly talk to our customers to understand what is top of mind and how we can improve our products and services to better serve their needs. One such event happened last week – we successfully completed our first VMC Summit in Palo Alto jointly with product managers and solution architects from both the VMware and AWS team.
We invited customers of different sizes, geographies and industries to engage with us over the course of two days. Product teams not only presented on their immediate roadmap but also ideas for the next 12-18 months which lead to invaluable feedback that will directly influence our product strategy and development. It was not all just presentation; our User Experience team ran several live design sessions with our audience and we even had a session that demonstrated various ways to integrate VMware Cloud with AWS and other cloud services which had never been seen before, all 100% live, which was very well received by our customers.
Lastly, we had the privilege and honor of having two of our marquee customers share with us and the audience on their journey of using VMware Cloud on AWS and how it has enabled them to transform their business. The insights, discussions and knowledge sharing during this session was a highlight for many of our attendees.
The user summit also had deep engagement from our executives Pat Gelsinger, Raghu Raghuram and Sanjay Poonen to have direct conversations with our customers.
… and our special #VMCSummit guest is no other than our @VMware CEO @PGelsinger!

At the end of the two days, the benefits of being able to engage in deep conversations with the customers at the VMC Summit were clear. We plan to host more of these summits. If you are interested in attending in the future, be sure to let your VMC Customer Success or Account Manager know!
