Wenguang Wang is a Distinguished Engineer at VMware by Broadcom. He is the architect of vSAN, VMware’s enterprise storage solution. He initiated, led, and delivered key features including checksumming, data-at-rest encryption for vSAN OSA, vSAN File Services, and vSAN ESA. He also started and currently leads multiple new vSAN projects that support emerging hardware and deliver new services. Before joining VMware, Wenguang worked at Apple, where he initiated, led, and shipped UDF, FileVault 2, Fusion Drive, and FileVault Everywhere. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and has been awarded over 170 patents.
