We are pleased to announce the general availability of VMware Cloud Foundation 4.5.2. This release brings several new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to ensure that the Cloud Foundation platform remains the best choice for your cloud infrastructure needs.
What’s New in 4.5.2?
- License Flexibility: Transition effortlessly from a keyed license to the VMware Cloud Foundation+ subscription keyless model. With Cloud Foundation 4.5.2, you can benefit by mixing licensing within the same VCF instance. However, licensing within a given workload domain needs to be consistent. Mixed-mode licensing support is also available for VMware Cloud Foundation on Dell VxRail with 4.5.2.
- Enhanced Prechecks: The Bill of Materials (BOM) Deviation Precheck ensures a smooth upgrade experience by identifying any asynchronous patches that may have been applied if the Async Patch Tool was used in the environment.
- Product Updates: We’ve incorporated the latest versions of VMware NSX, VMware vCenter Server, and VMware ESXi, ensuring you have access to the latest features and critical bug fixes. Specifically, the Bill of Materials has been updated with new product versions, including:
- NSX-T Data Center 3.2.3.1: This includes new features and enhancements as part of NSX 3.2.3.1 and critical bug fixes. More details here.
- VMware vCenter Server 7.0 Update 3m: Contains critical bug fixes. More details here.
