What SDDC means for VMware Partners

As explained in our recent series of blog posts, we have a host of new products and solutions designed to deliver our ‘one cloud, any application’ vision, allowing businesses to cope with the fast-paced world of liquid IT.

Four things every VMware Partner needs to know
Of course, this is also great news for our partner community. But with so many things coming out, what do partners need to know?

  • Unified Platform – the key takeaway from the launch for partners is that they now have access to a completely unified platform for offering hybrid cloud deployments to their customers. Partners can now deliver a consistent environment across public and private cloud to run any cloud native or traditional application.
  • New products – Our unified cloud platform is delivered through a number of different software solutions, but each of these products individually offers great opportunities for VMware partners. For example, VMware Virtual SAN 6 and vSphere Virtual Volumes are designed to support the mass adoption of software defined storage, meaning you can help your customers make the most of their existing storage infrastructure.
  • vSphere 6 – Not just the latest version of our flagship hypervisor solution, vSphere 6 is the foundation of our hybrid cloud. For customers not yet sold on the benefits of the hybrid cloud, our partners can deliver vSphere 6 solutions to help customers virtualize their IT estate, safe in the knowledge that this same solution can be used by the customer to easily harness the benefits of the hybrid cloud.
  • OpenstackVMware Integrated Openstack provides our partners with an even greater range of choice about how they can meet their customers’ needs for enterprise scale cloud environments.
