We all know about Schedule Builder for breakout sessions. But what other schedules exist out there? Here is that list of essential or “extra” schedules to plug into your week. Check back, as we will add more “extra” schedules of interest that may help. If you know of other public VMworld 2016 schedules, please add them to the Comments for this blog.

I can’t help but think of all the fantastic memories over the years, all the way back to 2004 in San Diego, where VMworld first began. And what makes VMworld so awesome and unique, is that our VMworld community continues to grow stronger each year. Community members thrive at VMworld in sharing knowledge and advancing their skills (sometimes careers) while having a great time and building friendships. And the alumni and ecosystem of partners, is second to none in tech-show land.
I’ll leave you with some great tips collected from our VMworld Community over the years. If you have additional tips or advice, please share them in the comments.
VMworld is a marathon, not a sprint. Don’t try to be everywhere or do everything.
Wear comfortable shoes, if possible. Break them in before the conference.
Drink fluids to hydrate during the day & night. Use a water bottle to refill.
Charge your devices when convenient and bring backup charging devices.
Don’t try to keep up with email. Address what’s critical and leave the rest for later.
Don’t update your software/devices just before traveling. Give yourself lead time.
Use conference time to meet people. Introduce yourself and always be connecting.
Leave enough time between sessions and meetings to move between venues.
Seek out expert discussions on-site as well as networking and Q&A after sessions.
Take advantage of networking and learning opportunities to advance your career.
Don’t be afraid to miss a session to continue networking. Sessions are recorded.
Swag is everywhere. But take only what you can carry or travel with to reduce waste.
Hope to see many of you there, in San Francisco and/or Barcelona!
