VMworld 2020 will be different this year. You may be familiar with the Henry Wadsworth Longfellow quote, “All things must change to something new, to something strange.” It certainly will be strange not connecting with you in San Francisco or Barcelona this year. However, we will be able to gather around the world in a manner not feasible before now. The industry has shifted again and Veeam has made Cloud Data Management simple, flexible and reliable, no matter where your data resides. Though now it’s even more important to be able to accomplish this no matter where your employees, peers or you reside, even if while in your pajamas.
The ecosystem that VMware has built has expanded almost exponentially in the last eighteen months. The addition of new cloud capabilities, offerings with major public clouds and managed service providers, and of course containers has complemented its networking, end user computing and security solutions well.
Though Veeam continues to build out our own strong ecosystem via a software first, hardware agnostic platform, this hasn’t stopped us from developing in collaboration with VMware support for:
- VMware Cloud on Dell EMC, an Infrastructure as a Service offering for on-premises data center and edge locations
- Google Cloud VMware Engine, an open platform for cloud-native applications and multi-cloud environments
- Azure VMware Solution, a first-party solution designed, built and supported by Microsoft
- Oracle Cloud VMware Solution, a dedicated, cloud-native VMware-based environment in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Veeam Sessions at VMworld
Veeam continues to offer the greatest flexibility in the backup and recovery market, and with v11 on the horizon, our first breakout session will offer a Sneak Peek to what’s new in Veeam Backup & Replication [HCP1936S]. Andy Sturniolo, Solutions Architect, and Anthony Spiteri, Senior Global Technologist, Product Strategy, will show off new features and enhancements including a number of demos. Our second session is focused on Winning the War on Ransomware with Veeam [HCI1935S], where Rick Vanover will show you options to prepare, prevent and remediate threats to your data.
