VMworld 2019 Europe is returning to the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain! Whether this is your first time in Barce or you already have a favorite route from the Gothic Quarter to the beach, we’ve prepared 7 tips to help you plan your trip for smooth sailing.
1. Download the VMworld 2019 app
2. Expedite your badge pick up
Picking up your badge is inevitable, but waiting in a longer line than necessary is optional. Save yourself some time in the queue and get your Print Badge QR from the VMworld app. You’ll be able to go directly to registration located in the Hall 6 main entrance. Just be sure to have a government-issued ID handy. Want your photo on your badge, too? Upload your profile photo to your My VMworld Dashboard prior to arrival.
3. Plan your agenda
From sessions to the Solution Exchange, there’s no shortage of things you can do, learn, and explore. Avoid decision overwhelm (and waiting in the stand-by line!) on the day of and schedule your sessions ahead of time. The session scheduler will help you keep track of all your activities in one place, so you can easily move from session to session without ever wondering where to go next. 4. Schedule a Showcase Keynote
Showcase Keynotes are a unique opportunity to dive deep into a topic with VMware’s senior leadership team. Hear directly from VMware’s CTO, COO, and more, about how to strategize and implement solutions for your business. See who’s speaking here.
5. Attend theNewV sessions on Monday afternoon
For those of you who are attending VMworld for the first time, welcome! We’re hosting a NewV session on Monday afternoon. We’ll show you the ropes and even more tips and tricks for getting the most out of VMworld.
6. Schedule some time with an expert
MTE roundtables are 45-minute scheduled roundtables that allow a small group of attendees to interact directly with VMware subject matter experts who have deep, hands-on experience working with VMware customers every day. VMware subject matter experts will white-board answers to tough challenges and provide best-practice advice. These roundtable sessions can be found in schedule builder.
7. Know your transportation options
Conference shuttle service will be provided from Barcelona El-Prat airport to the Fira during limited times. The Metro is also a great option for transit. The Fira Gran Via is a 7-minute walk from the Fira Metro station or a 17-minute walk from the Europa Fira station. Visit the transportation tab on the Plan Your Trip page for details.
