For the first time since 2015, VMworld is returning to the Moscone Center in San Francisco! Whether this is your first time in SF or you know the city like the back of your hand, we’ve prepared 6 tips to help you plan your trip for smooth sailing.

1. Download the VMworld 2019 app

Stay up-to-the-minute with the VMworld app. Manage your schedule, network with attendees, and view the conference map. It’s all at your fingertips on iOS and on Android

2. Expedite your badge pick up

Picking up your badge is inevitable, but waiting in a longer line than necessary is optional. So save yourself some time in the queue and make sure you get your Print Badge QR from the VMworld app. You’ll be able to go directly to registration located in the Moscone South lobby. Just be sure to have a government-issued ID handy. Want your photo on your badge, too? Upload your profile photo to your My VMworld Dashboard prior to arrival.

 3. Plan your schedule

From sessions to the Solution Exchange, there’s no shortage of things you can do, learn, and explore. Avoid decision overwhelm (and waiting in the stand-by line!) on the day of and schedule your sessions ahead of time. The session scheduler will help you keep track of all your activities in one place, so you can easily move from session to session without ever wondering where to go next.

Not sure what to attend? Start with the showcase keynotes that follow immediately after general session. You’ll have the chance to dive deeper with VMware’s leadership team into the topics touched upon during the general session, and walk away with solutions-driven ideas for your business challenges. Visit our content catalog to learn more.

4. Attend the New Vsessions on Sunday afternoon

For those of you who are attending VMworld for the first time, welcome! We’re hosting a NewV session on Sunday afternoon. We’ll show you the ropes and even more tips and tricks for getting the most out of VMworld. Plus, you’ll have the chance to meet other attendees and give your networking a head start.

5. Book or manage your accommodations

The VMworld 2019 US housing block is now closed, so you’ll want to make or manage your reservations directly with the hotel of your choice. See our list of recommended hotels here, including walking distance, shuttle locations, and contact information.

6. Know your transportation options

Conference shuttle service will be provided at select VMworld 2019 US official hotels to Moscone West. Shuttles will arrive every 20 minutes, unless otherwise indicated:
