With VMworld US right around the corner, it’s time to get excited about this year’s conference in Las Vegas!
After combing through the VMworld content catalog and deciding which sessions to attend, you might think you’re all set. Think again! Whether this marks your first or seventh time at VMworld, the experience is different every time.
To help get you ready for a great week in Las Vegas, we thought we’d share our Top 10 favorite VMworld events. Time to get ready!
The Welcome Reception
Can you feel the energy? That’s excitement you’re feeling! When you visit the reception located in the Solutions Exchange, you’ll meet and hob nob with the best in tech, including VMworld exhibitors and sponsors. Past sponsors include LG, SanDisk, Lenovo and a host of others. This is your chance to network with leaders in the field and bust out those business cards!
The Solutions Exchange is the conference’s home base. It’s here where you’ll participate in live demos and talk shop with fellow techies. Feeling a little tired but don’t want to miss out on the action? Take a seat and chat up other professionals all from central command.
Brand new to VMworld, (that’s right, even if it’s your tenth time, you haven’t seen anything like this!) this year’s Showcase Keynotes give conference participants the opportunity to hear from VMware experts on what the newest cloud solutions and innovations are, and where they’re going. Given by respected industry experts, each keynote will offer an hour of thought-provoking cloud tech talk.
It’s at Hall Crawl where VMworld participants are able to let loose! Conference goers participate in live demos and party with exhibitors and sponsors. Before the night’s over, everyone gets a chance to compete in games and are treated to delicious food and drinks. Is there anything better than free food and good company?
Meeting New Friends
VMworld is the place to network and market your brand. And even though you’ll be surrounded by competitors, you do have one thing in common: your passion for designing and building better cloud technology. There’s a chance you might just meet your new best friend! Besides, isn’t a little friendly competition healthy for business?
If you learn best by being thrust into the middle of the action, VMworld’s Hands-on Labs will offer you your finest IT lessons. It’s in our HoL sessions where you’ll be given one-on-one special access to new VMware technologies and shown our newest products.
All About That Swag
Oprah would say getting free swag is one of her favorite things if she still had her show. So, you know what? We’ll say it for her: we love free swag! We want to bring you in on the love too, so guess what: free swag for you! In years past we and our sponsors have given our attendees everything from coffee mugs, water bottles, shirts, hats and backpacks. Make sure to pack light so you can bring it all home!
VMworld does not have a lack of training opportunities. Depending on the sessions or Hands-on Labs you attend, you will be given in-depth direction and taught how to use our newest technology. There’s a new learning opportunity in every session and at every booth.
Customer Appreciation Party
To cap off the week, we host a Customer Appreciation Party that never disappoints. This year’s massive party will be held at the T Mobile Arena. In years past we’ve hosted celebrations at AT&T Park and the Super Speedway. Tens of thousands of attendees throw down for carnival games, speedway races and live music. This year’s musical guests are blink-182 and the Bleachers. Party on!
Food and Drinks
It’s not a party unless you have a cold drink in your hand and a plate topped with mouth-watering food stuffs. Craving a donut for breakfast with a side of fresh fruit? Need something crunchy paired with your sandwich? We’ve got you covered for breakfast and lunch! When it’s time to party, we make sure you have a cocktail and a selection of delectable hors d’oeuvres. If you can, try to explore the strip between sessions and dine out at some of Vegas’s hottest restaurants. You won’t regret it!
