In this post I wanted to share a few short videos from the VMware Technical Communications team. The videos cover the concepts and architecture of Virtual Volumes and provide a good overview of the building blocks for a VVol deployment.
Virtual Volumes Part 1: Concepts
This first video provides an overview of some key Virtual Volumes concepts, including the relationship between Storage Containers, Virtual Datastores, and Protocol Endpoints.
Virtual Volumes part 2: Architecture
This second video dives into more details on how the various Virtual Volumes components interact. It discusses the role of the VASA Provider, Protocol Endpoints, and other components.
