Another productive VMware Partner Exchange day for our partners and we had another great turnout at the Software-Defined Storage (SDS) Pavilion, where we demoed VDI boot storm on VMware’s 64-node All-Flash VSAN and we continue to have multiple ecosystem partners showcasing their joint solutions with Virtual SAN and Virtual Volumes.
If you missed it, on Monday Feb 2nd VMware launched VMware Virtual SAN 6 – the best storage platform for virtual machines, including business critical applications. Radically simple, VMware Virtual SAN 6 introduces 2x more scalability (yes 64 nodes!) and up to 4.5x greater performance (that’s 90k IOPs per host!) while adding several new enterprise-class data services capabilities.
SanDisk also showcases All-Flash VMware Virtual SAN 6 Architecture at the SDS Pavilion. The new architecture delivers Two Million Transactions per Minute (TPM) based on initial performance testing with SanDisk Lightning Gen. II SAS SSDs and CloudSpeed SATA SSDs – click here for more.
So if you are attending PEX, make sure you take your time to check out the SDS Pavilion. #PEXsds #VMwarePEX
For the last day of PEX (Thurs Feb 5th), we still have couple important VSAN related sessions you do not want to miss:
- STO4276 – Virtual SAN Hardware Guidance & Best Practices (10:15 AM in Room 2008)
- Learn about VSAN Ready Nodes and how to select and configure your hardware. Also important sizing considerations and performance recommendations to deploy Virtual SAN solutions for different use cases including business critical application workload
- STO4279 – Software-Defined Storage: The Key to Agility with Control (11:30 AM in Room 2007)
- Learn how to deliver complete set of storage services using vRealize Automation, Storage Policy Based Management (SPBM), Virtual SAN 6, and Virtual Volumes.
