Cloud and mobile technologies are fundamentally reshaping the IT landscape, thanks to the scale, speed, and business agility they can deliver. However, these changes are also forcing organizations to redefine their approach to cybersecurity with a virtual cloud network. According to ESG research, 80% of companies because of a shortage of skills are more comfortable securing data in their on-premise environments than in the cloud because in most cases the underlying infrastructure architecture differs. Additionally, 51% of organizations said that the security risks associated with relying on a third-party cloud computing provider was one of the biggest impediments to using cloud computing services.
Organizations are looking for ways to seamlessly move application workloads to the cloud and yet scale, modernize, and automate their approach to cybersecurity. VMware Cloud services security on platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) maintain best-in-class security standards through all facets of cloud security, which also align with the major compliance certifications.
