VMware vRealize Infrastructure Navigator (VIN) will no longer be available starting with vRealize Operations 6.6.1 (End of Distribution /End of Support Life in October 2017) . Customers currently using VIN have been advised to use the Service Discovery Management Pack (SDMP) with vRealize Operations for comparable functionality. If you have customers who are currently using VIN, please advise them to use vRealize Operations SDMP instead. For more information refer to KB # 2151075.

Last month, the vCloud Air Network (vCAN) program name changed to the VMware Cloud Provider Program. The new program name better conveys the breadth of cloud services that you provide and it will also be incorporated into the broader VMware message of supporting vSphere workloads in private, public, and hybrid clouds. This week, CRN announced its 2017 Annual Report Card Winners, giving top marks to key vendors and VMware has been named the overall winner in the Desktop & Server Virtualization category.
