EVO:RAIL is Simple, Agile and Fast – Find out if it’s Right for Your Business

Screen Shot 2015-02-09 at 12.24.36 PM

Last week at VMware’s Partner Exchange 2015, partners just like you showcased their EVO:RAIL solutions, and other were able to hear from solution experts on the latest in hyper-convergence at the VMware EVO:Zone.

If you’re customers are still laboring under the limitations and burdens of a legacy, siloed data center, there is no time to waste. To better handle today’s changing workloads and new business demands without drowning in server sprawl and administrative costs, consider moving your customers to a hyper-converged strategy ASAP with VMware EVO:RAIL.

The EVO:RAIL delivery model combines VMware compute, networking and storage resources into a hyper-converged infrastructure appliance to create a simple, easy-to-deploy, all-in-one solution. Partners work with us to offer a portfolio of self-contained, modular building blocks that excel at fast, flexible service delivery – helping you easily change workloads and accommodate new business opportunities as they emerge. They also offer greater performance and capacity—all while operating securely, efficiently and at scale.

But the real buzz is being generated by the way we utilize a converged, software-defined design to simplify virtualization – layering storage software on virtualized servers with the benefits of lower IT costs, a smaller footprint, and less energy consumption. Best of all, you can set up a virtualized environment in just 15 minutes.

EVO:RAIL is a great fit for many different scenarios. Of course, every business can benefit from a consolidated footprint with built-in enterprise-grade features, performance and resiliency. But the simplicity and flexibility of the system means that mid-sized businesses, ROBOs and LOBs can deploy and manage these turnkey systems and enjoy all the benefits without specialized IT teams.

For a deeper dive, here are some EVO:RAIL partner’s solution pages to check out:

As always, leave us your comments or questions below, and be sure to explore this simple, easy to deploy, all-in-one solution.

VMware’s All-In-One Solution- EVO:RAIL

With 2015 around the corner, now is the time to begin planning for a successful year ahead. When asked the question, “How is your IT department going to keep up with the speed of business?” The answer may be clear, but the roadmap to get there may not.

As we pivot to a Software Defined world, the need to simplify and automate is imperative, but how? Allow us to reintroduce VMware EVO:RAIL. When it comes to simplifying and automating via SDDC, EVO:RAIL is a scalable Software-Defined Infrastructure building block that delivers compute, networking, storage, and management to empower end-user computing, remote office and branch office environments, and small virtual private clouds. The EVO:RAIL engine that is responsible for deployment, configuration and management activities builds on the proven technology of VMware vSphere, vCenter Server, and VMware Virtual SAN. EVO:RAIL delivers the first HCIA that is 100% powered by VMware software.

Screen Shot 2014-08-25 at 10.27.28 PM

Day 1 of VMworld 2014 began with over 22,000 attendees from 85 countries eagerly awaiting this morning’s General Session keynote. Robin Matlock, VMware’s CMO, opened the stage reminding customers and partners alike that this conference is about you. She let everyone know that this week is all about pushing boundaries, and at VMworld 2014, you will discover there really are no limits.

Pat Gelsinger then literally broke through the beginning of his keynote and addressed the idea of Brave IT. He echoed the notion that “Brave leaders invent their own disruptions rather than wait around for them”. His main three messages were centered on:

1.    Being brave in this new era of IT

2.    Being open- OpenStack and containers

3.    The speed to SDDC and the EVO Rail product line – the fastest, most integrated way to deliver SDDC

Bill Fathers then shared VMware’s Hybrid Cloud strategy and highlighted how we’re building for a hybrid future. Carl brought the voice of the customer to life through on-stage interviews with Medtronic, MIT and Ford. For those of you who weren’t able to watch the keynote live, the General Session replay is available on VMware NOW.
