In Indonesia, companies are under pressure to serve customers better and faster. To survive and thrive in this new era, businesses must become digital to deliver a superior service. For many companies, they may not know where or how to start digital transformation.
Founded in 1996, P.T. Mitra Integrasi Informatika (MII) has been working alongside these organizations to guide them on their journeys. With a wide range of end-to-end solutions and services, the systems integrator functions like a one-stop shop that can provide comprehensive and holistic consultation and services for various company issues.
Many of these offerings, such as cloud management, security, hybrid IT infrastructure, modern apps and managed services, are underpinned by VMware technology. MII became a VMware partner in 2009 and is now at the Principal tier (highest level in the current Partner Connect program).
“VMware has enabled us to move beyond our focus on infrastructure to become an enabler of digital transformation. The strong solutions roadmap from VMware covers the customer’s entire digital transformation, so we’ll always have something to offer our customers at every stage of the journey, and we’ll be able to grow with them through the different phases.”

MII Leverages VMware Solutions to Become a Trusted Adviser to Its Customers
One of MII’s key customers, a government financial institution, wanted to leverage infrastructure-as-a-service technology for its private data center. By upgrading from VMware vSphere to VMware vCloud, the customer can enhance its current managed virtualization environment with the operation and automation function of VMware Aria Suite.
Following that, the institution needed a solution to manage and secure mobile devices across Indonesia. MII then deployed Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management on 9,000 devices over 100 locations in the first phase. They are now in discussions for the next phase.
“MII is our biggest partner in Indonesia and has been a much-valued strategic partner of VMware over many years. With a diverse customer base that includes financial services, retail, pharmaceutical and the public sector, MII is well-positioned to be a trusted advisor to many enterprises looking to stay ahead of the competition. We’re committed to MII success, whether it’s providing training to build up IT resources or supporting in go-to-market activities.”

MII Levels up Its Team’s Technical Prowess
MII continues to invest in raising the technical capabilities within the team to ensure it can serve customers well. To date, it has achieved three VMware Master Services Competencies in Data Center Virtualization, Digital Workspace and Network Virtualization.
It also set up an experience center, which is an expanded version of the VMware Hands-on Lab, to allow customers to explore solutions that they are less familiar with, such as VMware Tanzu or VMware NSX.
“Indonesia has ambitious plans to accelerate digital transformation and to unlock our potential as a leader of the global economy. Through our strong partnership with VMware, we want to empower businesses to flourish and seize new market opportunities in a digital economy.”
