Expanding Incentives to Deliver Greater Rewards and Profitability

VMware has updated its incentive portfolio to help our partners provide services that drive customer value and partner profitability while leading our mutual customers on their transformation journey to multi-cloud. Our incentives portfolio is built to reward partners as they get closer to their customers and deliver value across the entire customer lifecycle.  

We are pleased to share with you that we are updating key incentives including Proof of Concept (PoC), Technical Assessment, Deployment and Partner-to-Partner (P2) to expand partner eligibility criteria, increase product eligibility, and lower minimum deal thresholds.  

Here is a summary of the changes: 

Proof of Concept and Technical Assessment 

  • Expanded Product Eligibility  
  • New and expanded Product Eligibility List  
  • Select SaaS / Subscription products with Master Services Competency (MSC)  
  • Lowered minimum deal size from $100K to $50K 
  • Includes Provisional MSC Partners 
  • Change from Conversion to Registration (C2R) to Conversion to Booking 

Deployment 

  • Expanded Product Eligibility 
  • New Product Eligibility List with MSC  
  • Both transacting and non-transacting services only partners can earn the deployment incentive.  The transacting partner provides the purchase order number, and the non-transacting partner provides details of the closed deal validated by customer. 

Partner-to-Partner: 

  • Expanded Product Eligibility 
  • Lowered minimum deal size from $100K to $50K 
  • Includes Carbon Black Incident Response (IR) Partners
