VMware Cloud Sales Institute


VMware Cloud Sales Institute is online sales training that enables attendees to understand and position VMware Cloud technologies. This program provides training on cloud fundamentals and the basics of what you need to know to sell VMware Cloud on AWS. Participants who attend this training will learn how to tell the VMware cloud story, how to map customer requirements to VMware Cloud on AWS use cases, qualifying questions to ask sales prospects, how to prospect and qualify sales opportunities and how VMware partner programs offer incentives and flexible profitability models to help partners build a hybrid cloud practice. This sales training, which typically takes about 4 hours, is available on demand through VMware Partner Central and WIRE.


VMware Cloud on AWS Solution Competency


The VMware Cloud on AWS Solution Competency offers sales and technical training required to successfully sell VMware Cloud on AWS. Participants who complete this training will learn how to sell VMware Cloud on AWS and have a deep technical understanding of VMware Cloud on AWS, VMware vSphere, VMware NSX, and VMware vSAN. Partners that have people who previously completed VTSP and VCP training courses for server virtualization, network virtualization and post sales training for hyper converged infrastructure can leverage their existing accreditations towards this Solution Competency. Upon completing all the requirements, partners become eligible for financial incentives and other benefits. This Solution Competency is available on Partner University.


VMware Cloud on AWS Partner Initiative


AWS supports a partner initiative that augments the offerings from VMware, part of this initiative teaches partners key value propositions with use cases and how to help customers solve business challenges in the hybrid cloud environment. Exploration of the market opportunity, overall value proposition for VMware Cloud on AWS, and customer success stories provide information on how to accelerate hybrid cloud adoption for customers. Technical fundamentals of VMware Cloud on AWS are provided through key customer use cases, technical solutions architecture, network connectivity, data protection, and integration with AWS native services. Reference architectures are used to show how some customers have designed solutions for each of the top use cases.

Partners that meet all the requirements for the VMware Cloud on AWS Partner Initiative are eligible for benefits such as customer workshops, demand generation campaigns with AWS and access to AWS Partner Innovation Sandbox (by invite only). Partners are encouraged to complete all the training courses from both VMware and AWS so they can deliver complete hybrid cloud solutions which comprise of both VMware and AWS offerings.
