VPN ‘How To’ Series: Partner Enablement Updates

Our VPN ‘How To’ Series is a monthly blog dedicated to keeping partners in the know about the program and other areas of focus that influence growth. This month we have five valuable updates that will help you finish the month off strong.

1. Q4 Partner Launch Presentations are Available in 10 Languages

Get the latest and greatest news on recent product announcements including Horizon Suite, Management solutions and vDP-Advanced.  The QPLB launch portal remains open for you to view the videos or download the PowerPoint presentations, which have been translated into 10 languages in addition to English. Access the presentations today- (Partner Central login is required).

2. Hands-on-Labs – Access to VMware Products in a Cloud Environment

There are sixteen new virtual labs that have now come available. These labs help you to explore products, review architecture and validate use cases, and are great for training or promoting solutions with customers.  Access is easy since no hardware, licenses or installation is needed and complete environments load in 3-5 minutes.

3. Updates to Sales and Technical Accreditation Training

VMware Technical Solutions Professional (VTSP) has been updated to include the latest information on vSphere 5.5 and vCloud Suite.  You can learn more about VTSP 5.5 by logging into Partner University or on the Partner Mobile Knowledge Portal.

The VMware Sales Professional – Infrastructure Virtualization (VSP-IV) accreditation has been updated to provide greater emphasis on the vSphere with Operations Management solution.  In addition, the framework and content has been streamlined down to just 3 hours of eLearning content.  Login to Partner University to get the latest training for VSP-IV 5.5.

4. Free SolutionTrack and Tech Express Training Workshops

New SolutionTrack sales workshops and Tech Express technical workshops are currently scheduled in North America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific. You can build your skills, expand your product knowledge and earn a VSP or VTSP solution accreditation. Login to Partner University and select your region to view listing of events, and be sure to register as soon as possible since space is limited.

5. Partner Exchange (PEX) San Francisco

For the most comprehensive partner enablement offerings, plan to join us at Partner Exchange 2014 in San Francisco from February 10th – 14th.

Vinimos Vimos y Vencimos at VMware 2013 Barcelona

You came, you saw and you conquered at VMware 2013 in sunny Barcelona. This grand event may have come to a close, but our VMware offerings are just getting started. With executive keynotes and breakout sessions covering VMware products, pricing and programs, not to mention general sessions and partner track, we hope we inspired you to “Defy Convention” with us. We also hope you took part in the Partner Lounge and enjoyed our exciting Partner Day and post reception, complete with live entertainment.

Some highlights of VMworld Barcelona 2013 included Andy Hunt, Dave O’Callaghan and Carl Eschenbach sharing the VMware Software Defined Data Center vision, and offering updates around Hybrid Cloud and End-User Computing. They also discussed the new products in the management suite, aimed at further simplifying and automating management of the Software-Defined Data Center and enabling IT as a Service.

These announcements were closely followed by Pat Gelsinger who discussed the next generation of IT and how the software-defined data center is extending the proven model of virtualization and automated management across storage, networking and security. Pat kicked things off by reminding the audience of the power of virtualization, and the importance of continuing to innovate in IT. He also stressed that it is VMware’s audience and users who are the ones who will be driving innovation in the mobile cloud era.

We unveiled VMware vCloud Automation Center 6.0, VMware vCenter Operations Management Suite 5.8, VMware IT Business Management Suite and VMware vCenter Log Insight 1.5 and an update to VMware vCloud Suite 5.5.

Velocity to Millions… Pipeline + $30,000 in Prizes
