With quarter-end approaching, we would like to share a few common PSC requests and the answers that could help you close business.
Q: How do I complete progression to the next VPN level?
A: As soon as you meet all the requirements for progression, your primary contact will receive an invitation to move to the next program level. That contact should log in to Partner Central, click on the Program Forms tab, and submit the Solution Provider Progression Form. Once the form has been submitted, select My Program, and follow the link to make payment. As soon as we process the payment, your primary contact will receive an email confirming your new program level.
Q: How can I claim VPN revenue credit for OEM sales?
A: Simply email email@example.com to request a copy of the VPN Revenue Credit for OEM Sales agreement. Then, review it and follow the link to sign electronically. This agreement is valid as of the date of signature. OEM sales will by recognized approximately two months after the sale has taken place. For a full list of participating vendors, please consult the FAQ (Partner Central login required).
Q: Do I need to update my VMware accreditations or certifications?
A: As of July 2012, we have retired Version 3 of all accreditations and certifications. To check your training, simply log in to Partner Central, hover over your name, and select My Company/My Profile from the drop-down menu. Under VMware Training and Certifications, select the Competency Dashboard, which is a complete summary of all training completed by your company. Then, click on each record you want to review. You need either Version 4 or Version 5 to remain compliant at your current VPN program level.
