Super Charge your Marketing Efforts with the Outcome-Based Marketing Program

Together with you, our partners, we have spent the last decade investing in strong, increasingly strategic business collaborations. Our efforts have resulted in inventing, enhancing and distributing market-leading technology that improves business outcomes for our customers. And now, we’re pleased to introduce another new partner program that furthers our joint progress while super charging your marketing efforts.

The VMware Outcome-Based Marketing (OBM) program is designed not only to help you find more opportunities, but to deliver qualified appointments with new prospects that are looking for solutions like yours.

With Outcome-Based Marketing you select your focus (VMware server virtualization and disaster recovery, desktop virtualization or virtualizing business critical applications with an Oracle focus), select your geography and target account size, and then receive qualified appointments with target prospects looking for your solutions.

The new OBM program is ideal when…

  • You don’t have the time or resources to run a specific campaign
  • You need to quickly reach out to new contacts, not in your database
  • Your sales force needs a boost in new opportunities

Leads convert faster to sales when those leads are more qualified. Let VMware help you drive qualified lead generation and increase your pipeline—at a lower cost-per-lead and marketing ROI.

Log in to Partner Central to learn more about OBM today.

VMware Is Serious About Partner Support

Did you know that as a member of the VMware Partner Network (VPN) you have access to dedicated partner support 24 hours a day, every business day? The Partner Support Center (PSC) is here to help with your questions about partner programs and incentives.

Want to take your partnership to the next level?

The PSC can advise you on training and revenue requirements.

Need information about partner rewards?

The PSC can show you how to register opportunities and earn upfront discounts and back-end rebates.

Plus, the PSC can help you order internal use licenses at a discount, get not-for-resale licenses for demonstration and testing purposes, and receive technical support codes. And if you need help changing your profile or navigating the vast wealth of information on Partner Central, the PSC is here to assist you.
Visit the Contact Us page on Partner Central (login required) to connect with the PSC by phone, email, or web support case. Local language support is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese.

With quarter-end approaching, we would like to share a few common PSC requests and the answers that could help you close business.

Q: How do I complete progression to the next VPN level?

A: As soon as you meet all the requirements for progression, your primary contact will receive an invitation to move to the next program level. That contact should log in to Partner Central, click on the Program Forms tab, and submit the Solution Provider Progression Form. Once the form has been submitted, select My Program, and follow the link to make payment. As soon as we process the payment, your primary contact will receive an email confirming your new program level.

Q: How can I claim VPN revenue credit for OEM sales?

A: Simply email partnernetwork@vmware.com to request a copy of the VPN Revenue Credit for OEM Sales agreement. Then, review it and follow the link to sign electronically. This agreement is valid as of the date of signature. OEM sales will by recognized approximately two months after the sale has taken place. For a full list of participating vendors, please consult the FAQ (Partner Central login required).

Q: Do I need to update my VMware accreditations or certifications?

A: As of July 2012, we have retired Version 3 of all accreditations and certifications. To check your training, simply log in to Partner Central, hover over your name, and select My Company/My Profile from the drop-down menu.  Under VMware Training and Certifications, select the Competency Dashboard, which is a complete summary of all training completed by your company. Then, click on each record you want to review. You need either Version 4 or Version 5 to remain compliant at your current VPN program level.

These are just a sample of the areas in which the PSC can make sure you get the most out of VPN programs and incentives. Our dedicated specialists are here to help you—our valued partners.
