As VMware continues to help propel the rapid growth of cloud computing, we’re strengthening our go-to-market partnering strategy to capitalize on the massive cloud-based services opportunities for our Partners. Today, I am pleased to announce the launch of our newest VMware Partner Network program - the Consulting and Integration Partner Program, or “CIPP”, which expands our focus and Partner investments in driving deeper, richer services partnerships across the VMware Partner Network.
According to Forrester, the global IT spending on private cloud services is projected to grow to $41.5B by 2015. We believe CIP partners are uniquely positioned to capitalize on this opportunity because of their deep expertise and Trusted Advisor status they earned with their customers.
The combination of public and private cloud environments is driving a tremendous amount of architectural and application integration/migration work. This includes delivering cloud-based business-critical applications and infrastructure that allows service partners not only to differentiate themselves, but also maximizes the value of their offerings while promoting a new business model. We recognize that moving to a cloud-based platform can present new challenges for service partners.
VMware created CIPP as part of our partnering commitment to better recognize and leverage the immense value that is created by the services and consulting centric partner community. We also designed this program to align to how CIP partners go-to-market, while continuing our tradition of rewarding partners, providing IP around key solution areas, and working collaboratively to drive successful engagements with our joint Customers.
