Recap of AWS re:Invent 2021

And that’s a wrap AWS re:Invent 2021 was a success!

We hope you enjoyed the event as much as the CloudHealth and CloudHealth Secure State teams did. We met with peers, customers, and partners, enjoyed presenting sessions and hearing feedback, and attended many thought-provoking presentations.

While there were many amazing live sessions to attend, you may have missed out on a few (we had to, too!). To make up for this, we put together a list of highlights from the keynote presentations and our favorite sessions.

Adam Selipsky, AWS CEO – Watch the session

  • “Pathfinders” were the central theme of Selipsky’s address, citing examples of Hank Biasetti, Florence Nightengale, and Roscoe Brown as pathfinders who have pushed against the status quo to find a better way forward. It was through this lens that Selipsky introduced the company’s vision and the opportunity that lies ahead while we still navigate the early days of cloud.
  • In addition to examples of how AWS has helped innovate in financial services, automotive, and other industries, Selipsky welcomed executives from NASDAQ, DISH, United Airlines, and 3M Company.
  • Selipsky made more announcements than can be listed here, but notable highlights include: Graviton3 processors, C7g instances for EC2, AWS Mainframe Modernization, and AWS Private 5G.
