Creating Custom VMware Skyline Dashboards within vRealize Operations Cloud
In a prior post, I highlight how the Skyline Management Pack for vRealize Operations Cloud provides very useful dashboards for Skyline customers that:
- Ease the discovery process
- Speed Troubleshooting
- Enable informed decision-making.
The two Dashboards that come with the Skyline Management Pack for vRealize Operations Cloud can be a great way to visually convey information to your team as you work on remediation plans.
But there may be times when you may need to address specific Skyline use-cases that require something a bit more customized. vRealize Operations Cloud, with the Skyline Management Pack, can accommodate those cases with unique widgets and views that display:
- Object Lists
- Health Charts
- Heat Maps
- Score Cards
- Capacity and Time Remaining
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. As a matter of fact, there are over 40 widgets and views that can be combined to create pretty much any type of report that you can imagine, including reports that allow you to see the status of an Alert Issue and who owns it.
To see a step-by-step demo on how to create your own Skyline-specific Dashboards or to see how to access a large library of exiting dashboards that members of the VMware Community has shared, click here.
And, if you want to test these workflows yourself, log into Skyline and click that Signup button within the Operational Overview Card that appears on the Skyline Dashboard.
