VMware Skyline Support for VMware Cloud Foundation

VMware Skyline will support VMware Cloud Foundation v4.1 and higher, starting in VMware’s Q3 FY21 (Oct. 30, 2020).

What is VMware Cloud Foundation?

VMware Cloud Foundation is an integrated software platform incorporating a full range of software-defined services into a single platform that can be deployed in an on-premises private cloud or run as a service in a public cloud. It offers a simple path to the creation of a hybrid cloud, eliminating the complexity often associated with setting up and managing an enterprise hybrid cloud environment.

What does VMware Cloud Foundation Support mean for VMware Skyline Customers?

In addition to being able to identify integrated VMware Cloud Foundation management and workload domains within the service, Skyline now proactively surfaces more targeted and contextual findings and recommendations that also align with the guidance or Bill of Materials (BOM) of the solution.

Does Log Assist support SDDC Manager?

Currently, Log Assist does not support SDDC Manager.

Who is eligible for Skyline?

Customers with Production and Premier Support / Success 360 contracts are eligible to use Skyline proactive intelligence at no additional charge. You can download Skyline from Cloud Services Platform: https://cloud.vmware.com/skyline
