The Solutions Exchange was busy from the get-go this morning. Attendees lined up 4 or more deep waiting to speak to a subject expert at the Expert Bar. As I said yesterday, these mini white boards on a swivel base were great tools for working out the issues presented. Many times, the customer would snap a photo of the board at the end of his consultation so that he’d remember the solution.
As the day progressed, the buzz about the big party coming that evening started to pick up. One fellow, whose first language was not English, ask me if I was excited to be seeing John Boy. A couple of quizzical looks from me, and him repeating himself over and over, and we finally exploded into laughter once we realized he meant Jon Bon Jovi. Don’t worry, he was definitely in on the joke and laughing at himself. The same guy told us how he liked the videos and Sliderocket presentations we now embed in many of our KB articles. Moving toward multimedia is definitely a big plus for our foreign language customers.
