Millennials expect a personalized shopping experience in exchange for brand loyalty. They want an integrated experience in store, the option to research and purchase on mobile devices, and a seamless check-out experience when they do.

Technology and the In-Store Experience

Over the next 24 months retailers have big plans to invest in IoT and AI solutions for inventory management, store layout, customer service, and cyber threat management. They’re also relying on partnerships with VMware to help redefine the core IT infrastructure that will launch and support their digital transformation strategies, which include public cloud, digital workspaces for associates, secure store WAN, interactive signage, connected devices, and secure eCommerce.
