How can my experience in the Hands-on Labs room at VMware Explore possibly get any better you ask? Why, a scavenger hunt, of course!
How it will work
- Correctly complete the tasks assigned for the specific day(s) you’re choosing to participate in the scavenger hunt.
- Post 2 separate photos (1 post per task) of you completing the tasks assigned for that day to either your Twitter or Facebook account using both #ExploreHOL and #VMwareExplore and tagging @VMwareHOL. Selfies are preferred, we want to see your smiling face!
- If posting to Facebook, please share the post to our Hands-on Labs Facebook page.
- If you do not have a Twitter or Facebook account, you may enter by emailing both photos to HOL_Ops@vmware.com.
- If you correctly complete and post both tasks assigned for that day, you will be eligible to receive a prize the following day and will be eligible to win the grand prize raffle.
- The first 10 people to check-in with the Hands-on Labs Welcome Desk during event hours the following day will receive a prize .
- Tell the Welcome Desk “I’m here to see if I made the top 10 check-in for yesterday’s scavenger hunt tasks”
Wednesday Tasks (9 November)
Task #1
Hands-on Lab
- Capture a photo of you taking one of the following Hands-on Labs in one of the Self-paced Lab stations within the Hands-on Labs room
- Post the photo to your Twitter or Facebook account
- In your caption, add both #ExploreHOL and #VMwareExplore and tag @VMwareHOL. If posting to Facebook, please share the post to our Hands-on Labs Facebook page.
- The timer at the top of the lab console must show you remained in the lab for at least 15 minutes

- Tip: Take the corresponding Hands-on Lab to best prepare yourself for the tasks within the Odyssey lab!

Grand Prize Raffle
Everyone who correctly completes the scavenger hunt on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday will be entered in the drawing for the grand prize consisting of a Hands-on Labs Python backpack and Courant Charging Tray. The grand prize winner will be announced on Thursday morning on @VMwareHOL’s Twitter and Facebook accounts. The winner will be able to pick up their prize at the Odyssey desk during the Final Competition of the Odyssey Tournament, taking place on Thursday 10 November, 10:30 – 12:00 CET.
