The VMware HCI team is incredibly excited about the week ahead at VMworld 2019 Europe and we can’t wait to meet you! If it’s not obvious, we are hyped about hyperconverged infrastructure, and the same can be said about our 20,000+ customers.

VMworld is the ideal place to check out VMware’s innovative technologies, including our market-leading hybrid cloud solution VMware Cloud Foundation powered by vSAN.  Get ready to nerd-out, because we have thrilling keynotes, engaging panels and leading insights waiting for you in Barcelona!

We’ve mapped out the top hyperconverged infrastructure activities at VMworld 2019 Europe. Catch all the highlights here:

Stop by at the Solutions Exchange

First stop: the VMware Booth on the Solutions Exchange floor. When you spot the Modernize the Data Center area, you’ll know you’re in the right place. We’ll be showcasing both VMware Cloud Foundation and vSAN so stop by and get your questions answered.

Swerve on Over to Hands-On-Labs

Ready for a test drive? VMworld attendees gain special access to the latest VMware technologies without the purchase of equipment, software or licenses. You’ll want to check out the vSAN 6.7 lab as well as our VMware Cloud Foundation lab which shows how to get started with a HCI appliance. It doesn’t get any easier to stand up hyperconverged infrastructure than that!

Plan Your Ideal Schedule

So many options, so little time! We can tell you this, there’s no such thing as a bad session. Come armed with questions for our storage experts and customer panelists. Make the most out of your trip!

Our sessions will include real-life customers, industry analysts, and technical and business partners. Learn from and network with people who have common interests and questions. From spotlight sessions, to breakouts and group discussions, check out this blog with our Must-See HCI sessions.

Still struggling to choose? Don’t miss the sessions below!

Providing an opportunity to up-level HCI knowledge and get a sneak-peek at what’s coming, there will also be chance to see demos of the latest capabilities. This is a must-attend session for anyone seeking to lead one of the most transformative IT trends in their organization.

Door prizes will be awarded at the keynote – make sure you register today for your chance to win.

Customer Panel: What You Need to Know About Hyperconverged Infrastructure [HCI1615PE]

Lee Dilworth, Chief Technologist for Storage and Availability in EMEA for VMware, will lead a selection of customers in a discussion on what they’ve learnt from deploying HCI, from the good and the bad to the ugly. What are the use cases, benefits, and potential pitfalls? Should you buy an appliance or deploy software? Who deploys and operates it—the virtual admin, storage admin, or someone else—and what organizational changes are required? This is the session to attend to be better prepared for the HCI wave.

VMware Cloud Foundation: Strategy, Capabilities, and Technology Direction [HBI1432BE]

As the industry goes through dramatic changes, rapid delivery of applications and services is the key business differentiator. But with continuous pressure on IT budgets, IT teams must change how they deliver infrastructure to focus more on delivering applications and services. That’s where VMware Cloud Foundation comes in by delivering a complete private and hybrid cloud. VMware’s Mark Chuang and Jayanta Dey will cover the capabilities of VMware Cloud Foundation today, plus our strategy and technology evolution to support multiple application types spanning multiple data centres or hybrid clouds. This is a session for anyone who wants to move beyond VMware vSphere to a complete hybrid cloud.
