In our previous Blog Introduction to our Cloud Heroes” we discussed the success of our VMware Cloud Partners and the success they have achieved during the current pandemic, as well as their efforts to help keep not just their own lights on, but to ensure their customers were able to get to work every day.

“Often when speaking to our partner’s customers they aren’t even aware that their cloud environment is running on VMware. Because it just works, they get exactly what they asked for, and to be fair they don’t really need to. It is one of the greatest success stories of our cloud partners,” states Dave Funnell, Cloud Provider Manager at VMware Sub-Saharan Africa.

So what does a VMware Cloud Provider offer its clients?

So how did this all come together during the global lockdowns and what do the customers of our partners have to say of their experiences working with our cloud provider partners?

“Silicon Sky’s cloud infrastructure combined with our radiology platform, enables healthcare professionals to collaborate remotely on the patient’s diagnosis during the Covid-19 lockdown,” said Herbert Maxl, director at Continuum Systems (South Africa).

“ACS is providing customers with a self-service portal where they can ensure that the DR systems are available and up and running at a moment’s notice. While a lot of vendors were having downtimes, our resources on Cybercloud remained available without issues. Kudos to the team for making that possible,” says Ike Felix, Chief Technical at Teamapt (Nigeria).
