Update on VCP6 Beta Exam Results

Ed. Update 9/30/2015:

We have an update on the Beta exam results:

Our vendor is working on these results and we expect to have them by the end of the week for the 2V0-621 exam. Transcripts will be updated once they work through our system. Once those results are processed, they will begin working on the 2V0-620 results.

See my comment below for a few more details.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Many of you have been patiently waiting to hear the results of the VMware Certified Professional 6 (VCP6) beta exam you participated in earlier this summer.
We just received the anticipated beta rescore dates:
Screen Shot 2015-09-02 at 1.03.15 PM
You will receive your exam score via email as usual, and shortly thereafter you will be able to log into myLearn to review your updated transcript.
There is a significant amount of review and processing that goes into analyzing beta results and the work that goes into creating a valid and fair final exam. However, we anticipated that these results would come sooner and that we would have more information to share. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this might have caused and will work to improve our processes.
Thank you,
Paul Sorensen
VCP5-DCV Delta Exam Extended
VCP-DCVWe spoke to a lot of you at VMworld 2015 US about our certification programs and received a lot of feedback around the new programs, exam registration, and recertification. We take this feedback seriously.
One of the things you asked for is an extension on taking the VCP5-DCV Delta exam. Some of you are not ready to upgrade to VCP6-DCV yet but need to recertify and keep your status. To make this easier, we extended availability for this exam through December 31, 2015.
Simplified Registration Process for Advanced Exams Coming
VCAP VCIX
We are in the process of simplifying the registration and scheduling process for VMware Advanced exams (VCAP5-DCA, VCAP5-DCD or VCIX-NV) to eliminate the need for a second PearsonVue account. However, this entails some short term impacts to our registration process you should be aware of.
  • From now until October 15, you will not be able to register for any Advanced exam appointments beyond November 30, 2015
  • Between October 15-18, exam registration will be closed for Advanced exams only to ensure a smooth transition.
  • On October 19, you will once again be able to register for any Advanced VMware exam throughout the rest of 2015 and beyond.
As of October 19, the NEW process will be streamlined so that candidates will no longer be required to click on a separate link to register for their Advanced exams. The new process for existing candidates scheduling their first VCAP/VCIX exam will be:
  1. Request exam authorization at www.vmware.com/certification
  2. Once authorization has been granted, sign into http://www.pearsonvue.com/vmware/
  3. Finish your exam registration as usual
We hope that you will find that this short-term limitation will result in simplifying your VMware Advanced exam scheduling experience once the process is completed on October 19.
The project does NOT involve any exam retirements and does NOT involve any exam content changes. This project is strictly related to simplifying the process by which you register for VMware Advanced certification exams.
If you have any other questions or feedback on this new process, please let us know in the comments below.
